Welcome to episode 33 of The Psychedelic Christian Podcast. Today we are joined by Jonathan Hansen. Jonathan has a Baptist background, but also a deep appreciation for the liturgical tradition of the Christian Church, both Eastern and Western. After a deeply impactful psychedelic experience in his teens, he dedicated his life to serving Christ, the Church, and the world; which led him to eventually earn a B.D. from the University of Wales, London and then a M.Div. at the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, TX. Throughout the years he has worked at the chaplaincy at Imperial College, the Royal College of Arts, and the Royal College of Music; taught Bible at a private Christian school in Chicago; and served as an Episcopal priest in Des Moines, IA. Currently, he is pursuing a long-standing calling to be a psychedelic missioner to the Church, though his ministry The Psychedelic Christian- a resource for Christians who seek a deeper understanding of God through the prayerful use of psychedelics, offering blog posts, prayers for entheogenic use, and informational social media updates.
